CIS of Chicago enthusiastically partners with corporate groups, organizations, and individuals who are passionate about supporting the success of Chicago public-school students. We offer several opportunities for companies – and their employees – to engage in our impactful work.
Attend a Virtual Lunch and Learn
During a Virtual Lunch and Learn panel discussion, you will hear from a school principal and CIS of Chicago staff about how we are supporting young people, in schools and beyond. You will also learn about our important role in ensuring that Chicago public-school students graduate from high school prepared for success. Virtual Lunch and Learns are a great way for companies to engage with CIS of Chicago and offer virtual engagement opportunities to their employees.
Send Hope Notes to Students
Help bolster our students’ hope and resilience by signing up to send them Hope Notes. Your encouragement and words of wisdom will provide young people with the boost of confidence they need to focus on their schoolwork throughout the year – and show them just how many people across Chicagoland are cheering them on. All you need are some notecards or paper; markers, pens, or colored pencils; and a little creativity. We ask that each participant creates at least 10 Hope Notes.
Show Your Support for a Local Principal
Chicago public-school principals are real-life superheroes. They work tirelessly to lead their school communities and support students in overcoming obstacles and to succeed academically. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, our principals have been even more important in the lives of young people, helping them with everything from accessing meals and essential supplies to navigating remote learning. Sign up to write a letter of encouragement to a principal at one of our 175 partner schools!
